Quantum Leap: Ambassador to Mercedes S600

The 13th president of India,
Pranab Mukherjee will relinquish his ambassador car and step into the
Mercedes s600 Pullman.
The custom built presidential extra
long limousine is the zenith of luxury crafted in Stuttgart, Germany.
Once mukherjee enters the car, the hydraulic doors shut with a soft
thud. He will be cocooned from the din outside. Limo has a length of
more than 6 meters. The president's portion of limousine is separated
from the driver's cabin by a sound proof glass partition. Inside, Mukherjee can tune into any genre of music or movie through an
integrated entertainment system. The heavily armoured limousine is
ballistic resistant. Not only can it prevent penetration of gunshots
from military rifles, it is also designed to withstand grenade
attack and fragments from explosives. Inside there is a fiber optic
ambient lighting for footwells and other areas. The leather cushioned
seats have heating and active ventilation system. The limousine is
also equipped with TeleAid that uses GPS tracking and cell phone
service to provide assistance. An automatic call is made if any of
the eight dual air bags get deployed.
The spacious passenger cabin has two
rows of seats facing each other that will allow the president to hold
face to face conversations. There is also a refrigerator in the rear
seat. They are equipped with massage, multicontour and ventilation
functions. Thermostat-controlled refrigerated compartment in the
console between the rear seat, which is included as standard. Powered
by a Biturbo twelve-cylinder engine with a cubic capacity of 5513
cc. Output of 380 kW (517 hp), with 830 Nm of torque, supporting the
luxury Mercedes-Benz S600 Pullman Limousine
The car is tested against AK-47, M67
US hand grenade and 3X DM hand grenade and parcel bombs.
The 90 litre fuel tank is self healing
type and has a automatic fire extinguisher on board.The Michellin Pax bullet proof tyres
can drive for 30km at 80km/h with deflated tyres.The car also has a rear surveillance
camera that provides entire view of rear in case of an ambush.
It costs a whopping 12 crore.
